IECAM Standard Reports
IECAM prepares standard reports that provide quick and easy-to-use data responses to frequently asked questions about early care and education services in Illinois. Responses focus on specific geographic areas.
To obtain a standard report, follow this procedure:
- Go to the IECAM GIS map page
- Click on "Create Standard Report" in the task bar
- Select the desired standard Report
- Select the geographic area of interest (e.g., "Counties")
- Select the instance of the geographic area of interest (e.g., "Champaign")
- Click the Submit button

Response to PFA Request for Proposals

As part of its Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Preschool for All (PFA) program for FY2010, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) requires respondents to provide information on early care and education services in their region. This standard report provides much of the data that are needed in the response, as well as links to other data sources that will be useful in writing a proposal.
The standard report provides:
- brief information about ISBE's RFP
- data on:
- population of children 3 and 4 years
- number of children 3 and 4 years living in families under 100%, 185%, and 400% FPL
- number of households that are linguistically isolated speaking Spanish and other non-English languages
- PreK/PFA FY2008 proposed capacity
- Head Start FY2008 funded enrollment
- links to sources for other data required for responding to ISBE's RFP
Publicly Funded Preschool and Head Start FY2007

This Standard Report addresses the question of how well PreK/PFA and Head Start serve the 3- and 4-year-old children in a given geographic area. The data include:
- population of children 3 and 4 years
- number of children 3 and 4 years living in families under 100%, 185%, and 400% FPL; and between 100% and 185% FPL
- number of sites and proposed capacity for PreK/PFA
- number of sites and funded enrollment for Head Start
- number of households that are linguistically isolated speaking Spanish and other non-English languages
Building Blocks Community Assessment Data Sheet

This Standard Report is to be used as part of the Building Blocks Community Assessment (BBCA) process. BBCA is a free, interactive tool that helps communities assess and plan to meet their child care and early education needs. The data obtained from this report can be used to complete calculations available on the BBCA Web site.
Data presented include:
- number of children at several age groupings
- number of EHS- and HS-eligible children living in families below 130% FPL
- number of CCAP-eligible children 0, 1, 2 years and 3, 4 years living in families below 200% FPL
- number of children 3 and 4 years living in families below 185% FPL
- number of children 5 and under living in families, and in families with one working parent, two working parents, and one non-working parent
- child care capacity
- HS and EHS funded enrollment
- preschool capacity
