Children and Their Families (birth to three) is one of four programs funded by the Early Childhood Block Grant (ECBG) program in the State of Illinois.

Note: Prevention Initiative programs incorporate the following components: (1) screening, (2) parent education and training, (3) community collaboration and linkages, (4) a parent and community involvement plan, (5) case management services, (6) an individual family service plan, (7) qualified staff, and (8) professional development.
Note: Children in at-risk communities are eligible to participate in Prevention Initiative programs. Organizations eligible to apply for Prevention Initiative grants include public school districts, university laboratory schools that are approved by the Illinois State Board of Education, charter schools, area vocational centers, and other entities with experience in providing educational, health, social, and/or child development services to young children and their families.
