U.S. Census Bureau Special Tabulation. Calculated using Poverty Guidelines published in the Federal Register by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
For 2005:
Based on data from the U.S. Census Bureau, IECAM demographers prepared estimates of the number of children below 400% FPL for 2005. These data are available for the following geographic areas: state, county, ISBE region, and IDHS region.

Note: The 4x Federal Poverty Level data is provided with particular reference to the Preschool for All Children program of the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). In awarding grants under the Preschool for All Children program, the ISBE will give first priority to applicants that primarily serve children at risk of academic failure; and second priority to applicants that primarily serve children whose family income is less than four times the poverty guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
