Source of data :

For 2000:
For item 1:
U.S. Census Bureau. TOTAL POPULATION [1] - Universe: Total population. Data Set: Census 2000 Summary File 1 (SF 1) 100-Percent Data
For items 2 through 7:
U.S. Census Bureau. Census 2000 Summary File 4 (SF 4) - Sample Data. PCT3. SEX BY AGE [209] - Universe: Population

For 2005:
Based on data from the U.S. Census Bureau, IECAM demographers prepared estimates of population for 2005. These data are available for the following geographic areas: state, county, township, IL state senate district, IL state house district, ISBE region, and IDHS region.
For detailed information on the preparation of the 2005 estimates, see the Methodology for Preparing Demographic Estimates and the Comparison of 2000 Census demographic data and 2005 demographic estimates.

Note: For the "total number of persons" for the 2005 population demographics, the sum of the population for Chicago and the population for Non-Chicago Cook County exceeds the total population of Cook County because there are some residents of Chicago (the U.S. Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program reports 368) who live in DuPage County. The City of Chicago contains a small portion of northeast DuPage County.
